When you spend thousands of miles behind the wheel, hike and kayak hundreds kilometers looking for something beautiful, don’t forget to check what is near your house. Literally. Five minutes of drive, ten minutes on kayak, and I enjoyed to be near (really near, you can came as close as 3-4 meters) happy inhabitants of maternity home of Port Moody. The huge raft was build in Burrard Inlet just in the middle of the city specially for Harbors Seals. Already several years seals give birth to their pups on this raft. Burrard Inlet is narrow and long, killer whales never come here, fish is abundant, so it is the perfect place for maternity home.
