Last September I spent three day on the Sunshine Coast.
\nOn the the interesting place there is Skookumchuck Narrows, very narrow entry into the also very narrow and very long Sechelt Inlet. Such properties make huge water drop between inlet and open ocean in high and low tides. The vertical waves can be up to 3 meters and the current up to 30 km\/h. It is like huge river in the ocean.
\nWe visited narrows twice. First time it was low tide.

Very strong current, but nothing too dramatic. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

So we decided to come at high tide on our way back. <\/p>\n

At the beginning of trail. <\/p>\n

At high tide it is much more impressive. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Because of strong current four times per day the water is saturated by oxygen that makes narrows the perfect place for marine life. <\/p>\n

It is very live for star fish, always moves and do it very quickly. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

This one was on the rock when the low tides started. <\/p>\n

It is time to move!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

to the deeper place…<\/p>\n

Typical inhabitants of any salt BC waters.<\/p>\n

Peoples enjoy the tide. <\/p>\n
