Many trails cross Santorini and lead to every part of the island. The island perimeter is only 70 kilometres and the whole island can be hiked in a realistic time.
\nWe didn’t have time for the whole island, so we decided to walk to the Oia on the north end of the island for dinner.
\nThe trail from Thira to Oia runs on the edge of the west coast.

At this point the paved road transforms into the normal trail.<\/p>\n

From this narrow neck you can see not only steep west coast, but also flat east coast.<\/p>\n

We planned to enjoy the sunset in some nice place with good food and glass of wine. The sunset is close, but we a still on the road. It is time to hurry up. <\/p>\n

Oia is the most expen\u044bive town on Santorini and completely touristic. Marble is everywhere, plenty of small expensive shops and galleries. It is beautiful but less hearty than Thira or Pyrgos.<\/p>\n

We got our dinner with sunset.
\nThe colours of the sunset are absolutely natural. They said that such colour appeared only in the spring and autumn. In summer, during the touristic season, the colours are not so fantastic. <\/p>\n
