Because of high temperature, the water level rose even more (the river originated from the glacier) and it was even funnier than the first time.<\/p>\n<p>On May 8th we made a break for biking (the bike trails are open now!), and on May 9th went on Snohomish River again, but this time to continue the way from Monroe to Ferry Baker Island that is an almost river mouth.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/canadaru.net\/bufo_storage\/Blog_photo\/2020\/WA%20travel\/Snohomish%20river\/Snohomish2.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" width=\"967\" height=\"1000\"><\/p>\n<p>Start from Monroe.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/canadaru.net\/bufo_storage\/Blog_photo\/2020\/WA%20travel\/Snohomish%20river\/DSC_2977_snohomish.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" width=\"1000\" height=\"665\"><\/p>\n<p>Looks like we forgot somebody. Looks like we forgot me.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/canadaru.net\/bufo_storage\/Blog_photo\/2020\/WA%20travel\/Snohomish%20river\/DSC_2979_snohomish.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" width=\"1000\" height=\"665\"><\/p>\n<p>Below Monroe the river quickly becomes full-flowing, its speed decreases, and rowing requires more effort than on the upper part.<\/p>\n<p>There are plenty of birds on the river &#8211; geese, mergansers, swallows, bald eagles, plovers, ospreys and others.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/canadaru.net\/bufo_storage\/Blog_photo\/2020\/WA%20travel\/Snohomish%20river\/DSC_2988_goose.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" width=\"1000\" height=\"707\"><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/canadaru.net\/bufo_storage\/Blog_photo\/2020\/WA%20travel\/Snohomish%20river\/DSC_2991_snohomish.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" width=\"1000\" height=\"717\"><\/p>\n<p>Local rivers are definitely not straight. At start GPS shown 23 km to the finish as a crow flys. After 4 km of rowing, it was 24 km to the finish. Where we are going? In average, a river in 1.5 longer than the distance as a crow flies.<\/p>\n<p>Snohomish, that is not only the river but also the town and the county.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/canadaru.net\/bufo_storage\/Blog_photo\/2020\/WA%20travel\/Snohomish%20river\/DSC_3011_snohomish.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" width=\"1000\" height=\"502\"><\/p>\n<p>Baker ahead of us.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/canadaru.net\/bufo_storage\/Blog_photo\/2020\/WA%20travel\/Snohomish%20river\/DSC_3006_snohomish.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" width=\"1000\" height=\"499\"><\/p>\n<p>Rainier behind.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/canadaru.net\/bufo_storage\/Blog_photo\/2020\/WA%20travel\/Snohomish%20river\/DSC_3008_snohomish.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" width=\"1000\" height=\"432\"><\/p>\n<p>It was a stampede on the River near Snohomish town. People brought all existed motorized watercraft on the river. The noise was unbelievable.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/canadaru.net\/bufo_storage\/Blog_photo\/2020\/WA%20travel\/Snohomish%20river\/DSC_3004_snohomish.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" width=\"1000\" height=\"649\"><\/p>\n<p>Below Snohomish town, both banks were decorated with historical remains of an unclear proposition. And it is right. Who needs a big house if can travel?<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/canadaru.net\/bufo_storage\/Blog_photo\/2020\/WA%20travel\/Snohomish%20river\/DSC_3049_snohomish.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" width=\"1000\" height=\"606\"><\/p>\n<p>More closer to the ocean &#8211; bigger the boats.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/canadaru.net\/bufo_storage\/Blog_photo\/2020\/WA%20travel\/Snohomish%20river\/DSC_3051_snohomish.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" width=\"1000\" height=\"508\"><\/p>\n<p>It was the time of high tide, so we should put more afford to row against the stream.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, 36 km from Monroe to Ferry Baker Island.
