After the visit to Irancy cellars, we planned to spend the night directly in Vincelles, but a strong desire for water pushed us to move a little bit future. We didn’t have the possibility to fill our tank since Joigny, and eight people on board, among which more than a half are ladies, use water much quicker than the technical characteristics of the barge say.<\/p>\n

Anyway, it was a sign of desperation, because we can only reach the next lock before night, and no settlement locates between us and the lock, so no hope for equipped landing.<\/p>\n

The dinner was dedicated to the Irancy wines, and on the foggy wet morning, we started to move to Cravant, where we planned a short stop to visit the town.<\/p>\n

At the end of the day, we should be in Ch\u00e2tel-Censoir, so it was planned as a long day on the river.

Cravant – a little old town with donjon of the 14th century.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Near donjon, we found a public washhouse, a typical attribute of any French village. Open for all.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Back on the water.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

On one lock, the swan came to see us.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Everybody move our boat as can.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Sometimes we meet girls.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In this place, our luck awaited us. The landing was in the middle of nowhere, with some abandoned boats, but there was water! After this place, we found places with water every day.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Well, not all buildings on this land exist for centuries.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Mailly-le-Ch\u00e2teau. We planned to stop here for a short walk and a local winery visit, but we were too short in time.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

So, passed by.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Cliffs appeared along the river.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Mistletoe here would be enough to marry all lovers on the planet.<\/p>\n

The cliffs left behind, again fields with cows.<\/p>\n

At dawn, we came to Ch\u00e2tel-Censoir.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The last lock and landing.<\/p>\n
