Many times traveled south on I-5 I saw signpost “Kubota Garden”. For me “Kubota” associates with bulldozers, excavators, and other mechanisms of such kind. So I imaged huge field of little bulldozers, shaken my head, and drove forward.
Finally I asked Google. Of course, nothing about tractors, it is a Japanese garden. At the end of April I visited this garden. Really worth place to visit, I should say.
The gardener, Fujimaro Kubota, emigrated from Japan in 1907, found this garden in 1023 and nursed it until his death in 1987. Now the garden is belonged to the city.
