The Painted Cyclists of the Solstice Parade

Many years Fremont (neighborhood of Seattle) organizes Fremont Solstice Parade. It started in the 1989, and last year I finally saw it. Fremont is a city of free arts, so the festivals here are not formal ones. I will show festival itself later, but now here is The Painted Cyclists of the Solstice that is traditional prelude of the festival. The cyclists first appeared in 1992, and some of them even were arrested for public nudity, but now it is more or less “official” part of the Solstice Parade. Pure nudity is not fun now, most of cyclist do body art, and some of them do it really good.

At the beginning most impatient persons ride forward and backward.

Some people can ride single wheel and play basketball at the same time.

Well, even on the nude parade some persons are shy.
