From last fall in Vancouver. Mount Beautiful is the highest point of Eagle Ridge that covers Bunzen Lake from the east. It is just near the city and not required the long drive before hike can be started. We acceded the ridge from the parking lot on Bunzen lake and descended though the Swan Fall. Hike is about 20 km, Mount Beautiful is 1280 m, Banzen lake is about 120 m. Nice home hike.
Except peak itself the rest of the ridge is covered by forest, bu some view points can be found.
In some its parts the ridge is very wide and covered by numerous tiny lakes. Most of them have birds name.
Near to the peak the granites start to appear.
