Willet

Willet aka Catoptrophus semipalmatus.

Willet is the biggest and most common sandpiper on the Florida seashore.

They often can be seen wandering along the water edge.

They run away from coming wave and immedeatly follow it back,

and permanently dig sand with bills.

What thay are lokking for?
These nice colourful mussels.

When waves cover sand, mussel came on the surface to filter some food from seawater.

When water departs, they dig into sand covering from the dry air and hangry sandpipers.

Sometimes willets line up on the dry sand and dreams.
