Day four – second half
It was the time to go back to Berg Lake, and, surprisingly, sun was lighted on. Happy with unexpected present, we put all out tents and tarps to dry up, and park ourselves on the sun in the pose of sun-worshipers.
We would be happy to lay under the sun forever, but it was time to carry our packs back to the swamp.
Walking though the swamp, we finally met first big wildlife, the moose with calf, but they saw us from the long distance and ran away, to my big regret.
Murky stream, coming just from a glacier, meets clear filtered river.
We hiked back to Berg Lake.
We realized that Mount Robson is a woman. She spent this week behind the clouds doing her makeup, and now she shows herself for total admiration for one day, and again hid herself for further cosmetic procedures. Women are so complicated with everything…
We came to Berg Lake early, set up the camp, and realize that we have several hours before sunset. It was stupid to stay in camp, especially with the sun presence, so we went up to Mumm Basin to look on Berg Lake from above.
Below are a bunch of photos of Mount Robson I couldn’t resist to take.
On the top, the meadow is full of these fluffy flowers.
We came down by the sunset. Following night was the coldest of our trip, but we survived.
